Welcome to Vantage Development

Vantage Development’s objective of providing high quality affordable housing for seniors and families dates back over 30 years to when we first developed rural single family housing in Northeast Alabama.  Today, our primary development focus is affordable rental housing that utilizes numerous funding programs, including Federal and State Housing Tax Credits, state and local HOME funds, Federal Home Loan Bank AHP grants, and FmHA 515/538 loans.  To date we have developed over 30 operational facilities in three states, including an assisted living facility.  Currently, we are in various stages of housing development in Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee.  Moreover, Vantage Development provides third-party consulting services and is experienced in non-profit joint venture relationships. Most recently, our third-party services have accomplished the following:

  • Successfully co-developed five operational elderly housing complexes for a regional Community Action Agency in Alabama, and have received funding on a sixth that will start construction the first quarter of 2007;
  • Prepared an application for, and was awarded tax credits on, a 200-unit elderly HUD 236 rehab;
  • Prepared a successful application for a tax-exempt bonds and tax credits on a 248-unit family acquisition/rehab;
  • Assisted a non-profit sponsor in arranging a development team that received tax credit and HOME funding on three acquisition/rehab deals in South Carolina.
